Acute graft-versus-host disease after allogeneic stem cell transplantation from a haploidentical donor with post-transplant cyclophosphamide administration

Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is the only curative treatment for many life-threatening diseases. Due to difficulty of finding an HLA-identical donor, from a haploidentical donor has become frequent alternative. This option associated with higher risk graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). In this article, we present current view on pathogenesis, and prevention GVHD report clinical case acute after allogeneic post-transplant cyclophosphamide prophylaxis. The patient's parents gave consent use their child's data, including photographs, research purposes in publications.
